Technical Writing
Looking for user friendly documents that match your software or hardware's look and feel? Interested in creating valuable support material for your users? Want to make everything standardized and consistent? I can help with that!
"This user guide project was initiated by Michael who initially saw a need for this service and approached us in this regard. The final result in the document is a very resourceful, succinct and comprehensive guide for students. The guide is well-written and detailed."

A lot of people don't see the value of Technical Writers and see documentation as an afterthought. I can tell you that Technical Writers are every bit as important as everyone else in the team. If your customers don't understand the product, you lose money, as simple as that.
You want professional looking documentation and/or video tutorials that are user friendly. A product without these is just bad practice. In fact, surveys have showed that people actually do read manuals and skim sections for information they need.
Moreover, while it may be true that some people can write their own documentation, Technical Writers have a talent for making user friendly layouts and explaining technical information into simple, everyday user friendly language. Superior writing stands out and if your user can't understand what you're trying to illustrate, you've lost them.
How many documents have you seen that were poorly formatted, had many grammatical errors, and was generally not user friendly?
I'm always looking for contracts as a Technical Writer.
I have been a Technical Writer for well over 3 years now, and I've worked for many companies including the following:
- Research in Motion (RIM)
- Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
- Ministry of Government Services
- Defense Research and Development Canada
Let me help you build your support base and invest in what matters most to you: the customer. They deserve well written material to help understand your product.
